A Little About Myself
I graduated from Carnegie Mellon's School of Design with a BFA in Industrial Design in May 2007. Shortly after graduating I held an apprenticeship under Jeffrey Bernett at CDS/Studio B here in New York, where I learned a great deal about furniture design and how it can improve the lives of people at work and at home.I'm currently freelancing in New York City while living in Brooklyn, working on a variety of different projects. It is my goal to create beautiful, functional designs that continue to be useful to people for decades. I enjoy very much the challenges that the real world places on my ideas, and the possibilities and constraints that mass production brings to design. I'm inspired by designers both old and new, such as Dieter Rams, Paul Rand, and Jasper Morrison; the art of Andy Goldsworthy; Japanese architecture; and dance music, to name a few things.
